At this point, saying there is bias in mainstream media is as obvious as saying the Pope is Catholic, a bear lives in the woods, or babies cry.
And, time after time, mainstream media outlets continue to provide proof of their bias like how NBC just spent an entire segment covering an issue they think tops the list for voters: climate change.
NBC decided to devote an entire hour to what Democrats apparently think is the number one issue on Americans’ minds heading into 2019.
Climate change, of course.
Aside from the one-sidedness and sheer bias of the hour-long leftist infomercial, the strategy also seems to be very out-of-touch with mainstream Americans (and perhaps even some Democrats).
Meet the Press covered the “climate crisis” for a full hour on Sunday morning, with NBC News anchor Chuck Todd hosting a series of experts and advocates — from Michael Bloombergto NASA climate scientist Kate Marvel to California Governor Jerry Brown.
Todd opened the show: “We’re not going to debate climate change, the existence of it. The Earth is getting hotter. And human activity is a major cause, period. We’re not going to give time to climate deniers. The science is settled, even if political opinion is not.”
Twitchy reports that Liberals are obsessed with the issue and it was recently announced that House Democrat Leader Nancy Pelosi will create a new select committee to review climate change.
From the Washington Examiner:
House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi announced Friday that Rep. Kathy Castor, D-Fla., will lead the resurrected special committee on climate change, which the GOP killed off in 2011.
Pelosi said in a statement that Castor will bring an new “urgency to the existential threat of the climate crisis” facing the United States and the world in leading the committee. The presumed incoming speaker also said the committee will shape how Congress addresses global warming while also looking at ways to create good-paying, “green” jobs.
An entire hour covering an issue and a new committee that a recent Gallup poll does not even score in the top five for voters.
According to a December 2018 poll, the Environment/Pollution only scored 5 percent of the vote, tying Healthcare and “Lack of respect for each other.”
The government/Poor leadership (19 percent), Immigration (16 percent), Unifying the country (8 percent), Race relations/Racism (7 percent), Poverty/Hunger/Homelessness (6 percent) each score more.
In fact, per the poll, climate change has not entered the top five of issues ever, dating back to the beginning of the summer. The Environment/Pollution even garnered a meager 1 percent in September.
