BREAKING: FBI ‘Failed to Preserve’ These Crucial Text Messages Between Anti-Trump Agents

Hold on to yourself when you hear this one. It may just make you scream in frustration. And do these people really expect us to believe this story and that there’s no cover-up behind this when stuff like this happens?

From Daily Caller:

The FBI “failed to preserve” five months worth of text messages exchanged between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the two FBI employees who made pro-Clinton and anti-Trump comments while working on the Clinton email and the Russia collusion investigations.

The disclosure was made Friday in a letter sent by the Justice Department to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC).

“The Department wants to bring to your attention that the FBI’s technical system for retaining text messages sent and received on FBI mobile devices failed to preserve text messages for Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page,” Stephen Boyd, the assistant attorney general for legislative affairs at the Justice Department, wrote to Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, the chairman of HSGAC.

The period of texts which are missing is during a key period of the Russian investigation between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017, the day that special counsel Robert Mueller was appointed.

This was the period that the dossier was published and would likely show if they were involved in that. It’s also when Strzok was part of the Michael Flynn interview and former FBI director James Comey was fired.

Are you kidding me? The system just happened to fail to maintain them?

Just like the 30,000 missing Clinton emails? And the destroyed Clinton devices?

Listen to their excuses.

Boyd attributed the failure to “misconfiguration issues related to rollouts, provisioning, and software upgrades that conflicted with the FBI’s collection capabilities.”

“The result was that data that should have been automatically collected and retained for long-term storage and retrieval was not collected,” Boyd wrote.

Why is this incredibly important?

Because both Strzok and Page were significant players on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation until July 2017. Strzok was actually in charge of it since July 2016.

And the few texts that were maintained that the public has seen have shown that there was bias against candidate Donald Trump and his team, and that may have an effort on the part of the FBI to interfere in him becoming President.

Among the texts, Strzok called Trump an “idiot” and said “F Trump.”

Strzok also spoke of an “insurance policy” that the FBI should take out in case Trump beat Clinton in the election.

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” Strzok wrote to Page on Aug. 15, 2016.

“Andy” was a reference to FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40,” Strzok added. Republicans have questioned what Strzok meant by “insurance policy.”

But now texts for a critical period of time which might have told us more about what went on are just ‘accidentally’ lost?

Incredible. What about required record keeping? If they got rid of these, they could be potentially breaking the law.

Johnson wrote in a letter to the FBI Director, “The loss of records from this period is concerning.”

Although that critical period was missing, they were able to recover 384 additional text messages exchanged between Strzok and Page which were turned over.

It’s like an onion, everytime one tries to unpeel the lies, there are more lies underneath.

Put everyone claiming these were ‘accidentally’ lost under oath and investigate this.
