LOOK: Huckabee Sets Off Internet Wildfire With 1 Post About Pelosi

Although White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sander is the one making headlines across mainstream media, it is her father, former Governor Mike Huckabee, who has the internet in an absolute meltdown.

Huckabee tweeted one photo of presumed MS-13 gang members and said that Democrat Leader Nancy Pelosi was recruiting them to run her re-election campaign for office.

“Nancy Pelosi introduces her campaign committee for the take back of the House,” Huckabee captioned the photo, which has since gone viral and has more than 39,000 responses.

Per USA Today:

MS-13, a gang present in the United States, Mexico, Central America and Canada, mostly has members from Central America, particularly El Salvador. The group has been a flashpoint for Americans concerned about undocumented immigrants committing crimes in the U.S., including President Donald Trump, who regularly refers to members of the gang as “animals” and has also accused democratic leaders of leaving the nation’s borders vulnerable.

The tweet comes as heated immigration debate rages throughout the U.S. over the Trump administration’s controversial zero tolerance immigration policy.

Several people who responded to the post accused the former Governor of being “racist” and “bigoted” while others approved of its content. The dig at Pelosi seemingly came from a press conference last month where the Democrat said MS-13 members exhibit a “spark of divinity.”

And, from Daily Wire:

Huckabee’s tweet comes after President Donald Trump referred to MS-13 as “animals” during a May 16 roundtable discussion on sanctuary cities. The media and the Democrats lied about Trump’s remarks and claimed that he was referring to all illegal immigrants when it was clear he was referring to MS-13.

Pelosi then gave a press conference where she continued to spread that lie, and she indirectly defended MS-13, saying, “And so when the president of the United States says about undocumented immigrants, ‘These aren’t people, these are animals,’ you have to wonder, does he not believe in the spark of divinity, the dignity and worth of every person?”

The Republican National Committee capitalized on the comment in releasing an ad which depicts the violent atrocities of MS-13 with Pelosi’s comments and the text: “Democrats’ Midterm Message: MS-13 Killers…They’re Not So Bad.”

CNN reports that Pelosi’s office responded to the comment saying it was “blatantly false.”

Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill said, “Trump and his surrogates will continue to repeat blatantly false attacks as long as the media continues to take the bait and print them.”

Huckabee also responded to the headlines of his daughter who was refused service at a restaurant in Lexington, Virginia on Friday evening because of her political affiliation.

“Bigotry,” responded her father, Mike Huckabee.

“On the menu at Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington VA. Or you can ask for the ‘Hate Plate.’ And appetizers are ‘small plates for small minds,'” the former Governor added.
