President Trump will be heading to North Dakota for a campaign rally to help bolster support for Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate Kevin Cramer. Cramer is currently the at-large Congressman representing the entire state and is looking to repeat the success of Trump, who won the state by 27 percent in the 2016 presidential election.

The president is seemingly using the campaign effort to help defeat Democrat Senator Heidi Heitkamp, who is among Democrat senators considered to be in vulnerable seats in the upcoming election.

“President Trump is looking forward to visiting states such as North Dakota that are critical to the GOP maintaining and expanding its majorities in the House and Senate,” Trump Campaign Chief Operating Officer Michael Glassner announced on Friday, as Washington Examiner reports.

Glassner continued to describe the event as a “high energy experience for the patriots in the great state of North Dakota who will be there with us.”

The campaign is set for June 27, in Fargo, North Dakota.

The president took to social media shortly after the Republican primary elections on Tuesday to congratulate Cramer on his win. In a series of tweets, Trump expressed support for other Republican candidates as well.

“Congratulations to @KevinCramer on his huge win in North Dakota. We need Kevin in the Senate, and I strongly endorse him,” Trump said in a tweet.

“Heidi voted NO on our Tax Cuts, and always will vote no when we need her. Kevin is strong on Crime & Borders, big on Cutting Taxes!” the president added.

In a series of tweets, Trump also commended Nevada congressional candidate Danny Tarkanian for his primary win.

“Congratulations to Danny Tarkanian on his big GOP primary win in Nevada. Danny worked hard an got a great result. Looking good in November!” Trump said.

Here’s more on Tarkanian, from the Hill:

The Nevada businessman was originally running as a GOP primary challenger to incumbent Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) but switched to run for the House seat after being urged by President Trump.

Tarkanian, the son of legendary University of Nevada, Las Vegas basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian, received an endorsement from Trump after announcing that he would run for the 3rd District’s open seat.

Danny Tarkanian ran against Rosen last cycle, but lost by only 1 point, while the president won the district by a similar margin in 2016.

Gov. Palin previously endorsed Tarkanian to win his election, saying he stands for the “policies our nation needs to survive and thrive.”

“Danny Tarkanian is a conservative outsider who will support the ‘America First’ policies our nation needs to survive and thrive, including building the border wall, ending sanctuary cities, and finally repealing Obamacare,” Palin said as Breitbart News initially reported. “Commonsense Conservatives in Nevada and across America need to unite and help win this critical fight.”

“I strongly endorse Danny Tarkanian,” Palin added, “and look forward to helping him win this important election.”
