On Thursday, congressional committee leaders finally reviewed the infamous Comey memos. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy conducted the review (found here) and said the memos make President Trump look good. They added that the memos will serve as “Defense Exhibit A” for the president.

Trump is taking the new analysis in stride and hitting back at Comey over social media.

“James Comey Memos just out and show clearly that there was NO COLLUSION and NO OBSTRUCTION,” Trump tweeted, before he blamed Comey for illegally leaking information. “Also, he leaked classified information. WOW! Will the Witch Hunt continue?”

Later, the president correlated Comey’s leaking with that accused of former Trump aide, General Michael Flynn.

“So General Michael Flynn’s life can be totally destroyed while Shadey James Comey can Leak and Lie and make lots of money from a third rate book (that should never have been written). Is that really the way life in America is supposed to work? I don’t think so!”

Will Trump look to have his administration pursue Comey and show the way life in America is actually supposed to work?

Trump was critical of Comey in another recent tweet as well.

“James Comey just threw Andrew McCabe ‘under the bus.’ Inspector General’s Report on McCabe is a disaster for both of them! Getting a little (lot) of their own medicine?” the president said over social media.

Here’s more on the Comey memos analysis, per the House Intelligence Committee:

Former Director Comey’s memos show the President made clear he wanted allegations of collusion, coordination, and conspiracy between his campaign and Russia fully investigated.

The memos also show former Director Comey never wrote that he felt obstructed or threatened.

The memos show Comey was blind to biases within the FBI and had terrible judgment with respect to his deputy Andrew McCabe. On multiple occasions he, in his own words, defended the character of McCabe after President Trump questioned McCabe.

Finally, former Director Comey leaked at least one of these memos for the stated purpose of spurring the appointment of Special Counsel, yet he took no steps to spur the appointment of Special Counsel when he had significant concerns about the objectivity of the Department of Justice under Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

As we have consistently said, rather than making a criminal case for obstruction or interference with an ongoing investigation, these memos would be Defense Exhibit A should such a charge be made.”

Some people online were also critical of Comey following the analysis:
