The success of the 2018 drama “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer” has undoubtedly motivated those in the Christian filmmaking industry and others to pursue the topic of abortion and how the issue has been handled through American history.
Nearly 60 million abortions have been performed in the United States since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973, so it contributes largely to the culture and legal system in the country. Perhaps bringing this to the big screen could be what pro-lifers need to do to wake the country up to the reality of the abortion industry.
A new pro-life film “Unplanned,” is currently in production and is expected to expose dealings of Planned Parenthood—the nation’s largest abortion provider. The film recently received a $1 million investment from Mike Lindell, the founder and CEO of My Pillow.
Lindell said, “I’m pro-life and I’m happy to do it,” as Breitbart reports.

The movie is based on the experience of Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood abortion clinic director, who became a pro-life activist and now runs And Then There Were None — a ministry that helps abortion workers leave the industry.
Lindell, a recovering cocaine and alcohol addict and a Christian, also has a cameo role in the film in a scene in which he bulldozes a site — the former location of a Planned Parenthood facility — to make way for the headquarters of 40 Days for Life, a pro-life organization.
The entrepreneur’s investment amounts to one-sixth of the film’s production budget. Unplanned was created by some of the same filmmakers who produced Christian films God’s Not Dead and I Can Only Imagine.

“I don’t get into things for the money; I get into them if the message is right,” Lindell added, per the report.
As Newsmax reports, Lindell also helped sponsor a Christian comedy, “Church People.” The film stars Stephen Baldwin and is in post-production, according to the report.
Lindell, also a Trump supporter, is aware that pursuing a Christian ethic, or something seemingly in opposition to the culture, could affect his company and his revenue. In defiance, Lindell said when critics tell him not to pursue this sort of messaging, he doubles down.
“When they tell me to back down, I double down, and my sales go up,” says Lindell, who helped in the relief effort of those in Florida affected by the hurricane. “I can pretty much go on any channel and talk about Jesus or Donald Trump, and I don’t get attacked like you would think because I’m straightforward and I tell it like it is.”

A supporter of President Donald Trump, Lindell, 57, says he will continue to help finance films that fit his values.
Lindell founded My Pillow in 2004. His company now employs 1,600 people in Minnesota. He has sold some 43 million pillows, one of which Trump reportedly sleeps on at the White House.
A multimillionaire, Lindell says he met with Trump prior to his election as president.
“I’ve prayed about everything I’ve done,” he states. “I met Donald Trump before he was president and I didn’t know a thing about politics. I walked out of his office thinking there was no better man in this world that I would like to be my president.”
Lindell stood near Trump in October when the president signed an opioid addiction bill.
