#SocksForBush: Internet Community Comes Together In A Special Way To Honor Fallen President

Former President George H.W. Bush has made it to his final resting spot in Houston, Texas, after spending several days in Washington D.C., and some people on social media have found a special way to honor him.

Bush wore unique, mostly custom made socks to commemorate special occasions during and following his time in office and social media users have started the hashtag #SocksForBush as a fun and creative way to pay their respects to the 41st president.

People across the country on Wednesday used social media to pay tribute to former President George H.W. Bush and his love for colorful socks, as his funeral was taking place at the Washington National Cathedral.

“His was the first election I can really remember,” on user wrote of Bush. “We have the watch now sir.”

John’s Crazy Socks, who personally sent Bush some of the decorated socks, recently sold out on their President George H.W. Bush Tribute Socks.

“Honor our 41st President with the President George H.W. Bush Unisex Crew Socks!” the company wrote as the description. “These are particularly appropriate because President Bush wore crazy and colorful socks throughout his life. After his passion for family and country, his passion for socks and adventure [he skydived to celebrate his 90th birthday!] were the loves of his life!”
