Trump Lashes Out, Just Said 2 Words About Missing ‘19,000 Texts’

In a Twitter tirade, President Trump ridiculed the FBI for their handling of the Michael Cohen raid and the Department of Justice for missing “19,000 texts” between former FBI agent Peter Strzok and former FBI attorney Lisa Page. While thousands of texts have been reportedly erased before Inspector General Michael Horowitz was able to review them, an exact number was not reported.

The president asked where the texts were between the two officials and why they were “erased and wiped clean.”

“So where are all the missing Text messages between fired FBI agents Peter S and the lovely Lisa Page, his lover,” Trump asked. “Just reported that they have been erased and wiped clean. What an outrage as the totally compromised and conflicted Witch Hunt moves ever so slowly forward.”

“Want them!” Trump added, which could potentially result in him directing the department to continue searching for the missing texts.

Trump also said that he was vindicated of collusion allegations in a tweet quoting Judge Ken Starr.

“Judge Ken Starr, former Solicitor Generel & Independent Counsel, just stated that, after two years, ‘there is no evidence or proof of collusion’ & further that ‘there is no evidence that there was a campaign financing violation involving the President,'” Trump tweeted. “Thank you Judge.”

As BizPac Review reports, the timing of the erased messages drew red flags for Trump and some conservatives.

Per the report:

The tweet referenced disgraced former FBI special agent Peter Strzok and disgraced former FBI attorney Lisa Page. The two served on special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian collusion til it was discovered they’d exchanged anti-Trump text messages.

One of those messages alluded to an “insurance policy” against Trump’s election. The exact meaning of this “insurance policy” remains unclear because thousands of the romantically involved duo’s text messages seemingly disappeared into thin air.

But according to a report last Wednesday by the Office of the Inspector General, the messages disappeared because Mueller’s office had purposefully reset Strzok and Page’s government-issued phones after they were booted from his investigation.

Like many other conservatives, the president appears to believe Mueller’s team reset the duo’s phones for nefarious purposes. What many find especially disturbing is the timing aspect. The only text messages that were deleted were those from Dec. 13, 2016, to May 17, 2017.

Here’s more from Trump: “A REAL scandal is the one sided coverage, hour by hour, of networks like NBC & Democrat spin machines like Saturday Night Live. It is all nothing less than unfair news coverage and Dem commercials. Should be tested in courts, can’t be legal? Only defame & belittle! Collusion?”

Trump’s tweets on Sunday echoed ones he made from the day before: “Wow, 19,000 Texts between Lisa Page and her lover, Peter S of the FBI, in charge of the Russia Hoax, were just reported as being wiped clean and gone,” Trump tweeted on Saturday. “Such a big story that will never be covered by the Fake News. Witch Hunt!”
