A feud between President Trump and White House counsel Kellyanne Conway’s husband, George Conway, has entered a second day as the two have taken to social media with venomous criticisms of one another.
George Conway started the exchange earlier in the week when he tweeted a series of posts about symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder and anti-social personality disorder. This idea of Trump exhibiting some sort of mental disorder has been pushed before by Conway and others.
Despite Kellyanne’s close role with Trump, George Conway has been a vocal critic of Trump throughout his administration and has repeatedly accused Trump of exhibiting these symptoms.
President Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign manager Brad Parscale chimed into the feud and diminished Conway’s interactions with the Trump administration.
“The rumor that Mr Kellyanne Conway introduced @KellyannePolls to @realDonaldTrump is a complete fabrication. Just more #FakeNews. The establishment mainstream media wants you to believe this lie. POTUS couldn’t pick him out of a lineup,” he tweeted.
“A total loser!” Trump said in response, seemingly agreeing with Parscale’s tweet.
“George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife’s success & angry that I, with her help, didn’t give him the job he so desperately wanted,” the president added in another tweet. “I barely know him but just take a look, a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!”
Conway had reportedly been in line for a role in the Trump administration’s Justice Department. But Conway said in June 2017 that he was pulling himself out of consideration. “For me and my family, this is not the right time for me to leave the private sector and take on a new role in the federal government,” Conway said in a statement at the time.
Conway responded, “You seem determined to prove my point. Good for you!”
“You. Are. Nuts,” he added.
