A new video from a parody account of Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is quickly garnering lots of views online.
Ava Martinez, an 8-year-old better known by her “mini AOC ” alias, shared a new rendition of the congresswoman where she comments on Washington D.C., the Green New Deal, its costs, and its potential impact.
“Wearing glasses and sporting the well-known red lipstick like the Democrat, Martinez jumped right in to her character portrayal, mocking the environmental and economic plan introduced by the freshman lawmaker which calls for transitioning to 100 percent clean renewable energy in the span of a decade,” BizPac Review reports.
Martinez begins the video akin to many social media posts by Ocasio-Cortez actually do, in a self-recording conversational manner.
“Like, hello America, AOC here again,” Martinez begins. “But this time from Washington, D.C., which is named after our first president — George Washington D.C.”
“Like, I want to tell you about my plan to single-handedly save the planet. I call it the Green New Deal. I picked green because I’m still learning my colors,” she continued.
“I came up with my plan after we were watching, like, the most important documentary on climate change. It’s called Ice Age 2: The Meltdown,” the 8-year-old said. As BizPac Review reports this is a reference to a 2006 animated film about animals enduring the effects of substantial environmental changes. “That’s not me saying it, that’s science,” Martinez said.
“My Green New Deal will cost, like, 93 trillion dollars. Do you know how much that is? Me neither. Because it’s totally worth it. If sea levels keep rising, we won’t be able to drive to Hawaii anymore,” she continued.
Here’s more, from BizPac Review:
“I just got this electric car. It’s eco-friendly and everyone has to drive one under my deal,” Martinez said, as the camera panned back to show her sitting in a small pink electric kids car.
“And that’s why I bought one for my boyfriend, too, illegally, using campaign donations. Well, you bought it for him,” she said, connecting to reports earlier this year that the former New York City bartender was hit with a Federal Election Commission complaint alleging that thousands of dollars were laundered through a political action committee to her boyfriend, Riley Roberts.
At this point in the parody video, a young boy drove up in another electric car, presumably playing the part of Ocasio-Cortez’s boyfriend. The mini-congresswoman commanded him not to speak while pointing a threatening finger at him.
“I do the same thing to Pelosi and Schumer,” she told the camera, referring to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
As several viewers noted, “Free @RealJamesWoods,” is written on the back of the “boyfriend’s” car. Conservative actor James Woods has been banned from Twitter due to a tweet that he refused to delete.Note: The author of this article has included commentary that expresses an opinion and analysis of the facts.
