Corey Lewandowski On Dems: ‘I Think They Hate This President More Than They Love Their Country’

Corey Lewandowski, President Trump’s former campaign manager, testified before Congress again on Tuesday.

This time, before the House Judiciary Committee where Lewandowski criticized Democrats for their role in continuing investigations into President Trump.

The Western Journal reports Democrats were likely using the testimony to try and get dirt on the president or show that Lewandowski was guilty of allowing the Trump’s campaign to collude with Russian officials during the 2016 presidential election.

What they got, instead, was a lecture on their hate for President Trump was affecting their ability to govern.

From the report:

After first establishing that he had already testified at length to Congress, and was interrogated for “well over 20 hours” by investigators for special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, Lewandowski made it clear exactly where he stood on the continuous harassment of Trump since the early morning of Nov. 9, 2016.

It was not a line to make Democrats comfortable.

“Since Election Day, whether it was bad actors at the FBI and in the intelligence community, or lies coming from the current House majority that there was evidence of collusion, the American people continue to be told a false narrative, with the purpose of undermining the legitimacy of the 2016 election results,” Lewandowski said during the hearing, per the report.

“This country as spent over three years and 40 million taxpayer dollars on this investigation and it’s now clear the investigation was populated by many Trump haters who had their own agenda: To take down a duly elected president of the United States,” he continued.

One particular exchange between Lewandowski and Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz highlighted the circus-show that the House Judiciary Committee and the House Democratic leadership at-large continues to be regarding their disdain for Trump.

“I am not allowed by House rules to impugn the motives of my colleagues. Sorta speculate as to what might be animating this bizarre circumstance. But those rules don’t apply to you,” Gaetz told the key witness.” So, Mr. Lewandowski, do you have a thought as to why we continue to engage in this charade that is overwhelmingly opposed by the American people and fundamentally misunderstood by my Democratic colleagues?”

Check out this grand slam answer:

“You know, Congressman, I think they hate this president more than they love their country,” he said.
