Trump On Democrats: ‘They’re Lousy Politicians, But… They’re Vicious And They Stick Together’

President Trump lashed out at his Democratic rivals and Republican Senator Mitt Romney during a press conference on Monday, describing them as “lousy politicians” for being unwilling to work with him to find a legislative solution to complex political issues.

Simply, these Democrats aren’t getting the job done and are standing in the way of a president who is trying to make America great again.

“I think they’re lousy politicians. But two things they have: they’re vicious and they stick together,” Trump said per the Washington Examiner.

The president has a point here too, as Democrats did not: abandon Democratic Virginia Governor Ralph Northam for wearing blackface in a yearbook photo, criticize former Vice President Joe Biden and his son for their dealings in Ukraine, hold accountable twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information, vote to kick out Democratic House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff for repeatedly lying, investigate Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar amid allegations of tax fraud, or correct Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren for lying about her Native American heritage.

Democrats stick together—a quality Trump said does not exist with Republicans.

“They don’t have Mitt Romney in their midst,” Trump said, an obvious reference to Romney’s recently uncovered secret anti-Trump Twitter account. “They don’t have people like that. They stick together. You never see them break off. You never see somebody go out.”

The Washington Examiner reports:

Trump noted that he respects Texas Rep. Will Hurd, who has also been a Republican Trump critic, for his statements questioning the impeachment inquiry, especially the details surrounding the alleged quid pro quo with Ukrainian leaders.

“That’s why I respected so much what I watched with Will Hurd today because he was one of the few who didn’t seem to be there and yet he made a statement: ‘I haven’t seen any complaints whatsoever from the Ukrainians,’” said Trump.

Over the weekend, Romney’s anonymous Twitter account became public, revealing some of the senator’s previously unsaid opinions.
