The Verdict Is In… Here’s the Undisputed Winner Of The Democratic Debates (Report)

President Donald Trump.

The Democrat Party offered forward 20 candidates that nearly complete a liberal spectrum of political ideologies. The cream of the crop of the Democrat Party, a full selection for American voters, took to debate stages over a two-night period to make their policy positions known and to petition support from those watching.

So, who won? Who emerged with a clear and concise edge over the competition?

The Western Journal reports NBC national political reporter Jonathan Allen claimed the winner of the first series of debates was none other than the man the Democratic candidates are all competing to replace: Trump.

Writing in an NBC News op-ed, Allen claims Trump was the “big winner” as he “emerged from the scrap largely unscathed — barely mentioned at all.”

Allen continued:

For long stretches, it seemed, they completely forgot about the man who has been at the center of pretty much every discussion among Democrats for the last two-plus years — the man they’re competing to take on next year. The obvious reason: The motivation to beat each other was, on this night, more urgent than defeating Trump — a life-or-death moment for some of their campaigns.

Trump was the chief beneficiary of that dynamic.

According to Allen, the focus of the Democratic candidates was one another—exploiting their own differences to amount small advantageous in the polls during the sink-or-swim early stages of the presidential campaign.

Ahead of the debates, Trump teased that he was considering live-tweeting the debates to provide immediate feedback to answers and facts but ultimately decided against it.

The president, who spent the last day traveling to the G-20 summit in Japan, tweeted only a handful of times about the Democratic debates.

“BORING!“ he tweeted during the first-day of debates.

Trump also tweeted about the technical error NBC committed during the first debates, forcing them to cut to commercial break. He tweeted that the network “should be ashamed of themselves for having such a horrible technical breakdown in the middle of the debate. Truly unprofessional and only worthy of a FAKE NEWS Organization, which they are!”
