AOC Swipes Ivanka Trump For Attending G20 Summit: ‘Being Someone’s Daughter Actually Isn’t A Career Qualification’

Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shared over social media that she took issue with President Trump’s decision to bring his daughter and advisor Ivanka Trump to attend the G20 Summit in Japan.

Ivanka Trump isn’t qualified, Ocasio-Cortez contended in a tweet which had a video of Ivanka speaking with world leaders including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Theresa May.

“It may be shocking to some, but being someone’s daughter actually isn’t a career qualification,” the New York congresswoman tweeted. “It hurts our diplomatic standing when the President phones it in & the world moves on. The US needs our President working the G20. Bringing a qualified diplomat couldn’t hurt either.”

Twitchy reports several people responded to the tweet dismissal of Ocasio-Cortez’s remarks and questioned her own qualification. Ocasio-Cortez worked as a server and a bartender before serving in public office.

“You know what else isn’t a qualification? Being a bartender,” Twitchy wrote. Check out these other responses:
