Hillary Clinton Refuses To Rule Out Potential Run, Says: ‘Never, Never, Never Say Never’

Hillary Clinton may actually run for the presidency for the third time in 2020 and, according to her own account, she is being immensely pressured to do so.

During an interview on BBC Radio, the Daily Caller reports Clinton did not say whether or not she was planning a run but left the door open to a potential run saying: “As I say, never, never, never say never.”

“I will certainly tell you, I’m under enormous pressure from many, many, many people to think about it,” said Clinton, who lost in the Democratic presidential primary election in 2008 and again in the general presidential election in 2016. “But as of this moment, sitting here in this studio talking to you, that is absolutely not in my plans.”

The Daily Caller reports:

Clinton also said she thinks “all the time” about what could have been had she defeated Trump in 2016.

Clinton previously ruled out running again for president. She said March 4 that she was “not running,” but planned to help Democrats in other ways. But she has increased her media visibility in recent weeks, fueling speculation that she is considering entering the Democratic field. Bill Clinton said Oct. 31 that “she may or may not” run again.

A potential late-entry from Clinton would undoubtedly shake the Democratic primary election. While former Vice President Joe Biden has consistently led more than a dozen other candidates in national polling, Axios reports he is not necessarily presumed to win.

Fellow candidates Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Pete Buttigieg have all shown that they could effectively challenge Biden’s lead.

Billionaire Michael Bloomberg recently filed paperwork to join the race citing the race’s uncertainty.

In addition to Clinton, Axios reports former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick is also thinking about entering the race.
