Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospitalized Overnight With Health Scare

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore after she was suffering from chills and a fever overnight Saturday to Sunday.

She is expected to be released on Sunday morning, Reuters reports. She has been to the hospital several times this year already due to health concerns, including a pancreatic cancer treatment in August.

The Associated Press reports:

The court says Ginsburg was initially evaluated at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington before being transferred to Johns Hopkins for further evaluation and treatment of any possible infection.

The court says that with intravenous antibiotics and fluids, her symptoms have abated and she expects to be released from the hospital as early as Sunday morning.

Ginsburg’s health is being closely monitored by the public as she is the oldest member of the Supreme Court.
