Fox News Releases Statement After Dropping Trish Regan From Network

Fox News has issued a statement clarifying its decision to release host Trish Regan on Saturday, following her unfiltered analysis of mainstream media’s politicization of the coronavirus a couple of weeks ago.

During a segment on “Trish Regan Primetime” on March 10, Regan argued that several outlets were more concerned with using the global pandemic to swipe President Trump than spreading accurate and potentially life-saving information.

“We thank her for her contributions to the network over the years and wish her continued success in her future endeavors,” a statement from the network said, as BizPac Review reports.

“We will continue our reduced live primetime schedule for the foreseeable future in an effort to allocate staff resources to continuous breaking news coverage on the Coronavirus crisis,” it added.

The report adds:

The unexpected ouster spurred vehement outrage from her fans, many of whom are convinced she was removed for “telling the truth” and question why Fox News’ Donna Brazile remains on air despite her own controversial statements.

The evidence includes …

♦ The left’s defense of communist China …

♦ The left’s attempts to pit Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci against President Donald Trump …

♦ The left’s lies about the Trump administration’s coronavirus response …

♦ The left’s attempted hijacking of the emergency coronavirus spending bill …

♦ The left’s reflexive dismissal of chloroquine as a potential coronavirus cure …

♦ And the left’s inconsistent treatment of Trump and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo …

During the segment in question, Regan said Democrats were unfairly attacking President Trump during the coronavirus outbreak. She argued the president was doing what he could to combat the spread of the disease, but no action he could take would appease the Leftists.

“This is yet another attempt to impeach the president, and sadly it seems they care very little for any of the destruction they are leaving in their wake,” she said earlier this month.

“The chorus of hate being leveled at the president is nearing a crescendo as Democrats blame him, and only him, for a virus that originated halfway around the world,” Regan continued.

“Losses in the stock market, all this, unfortunately, just part of the political casualties for them,” she added.

Just three days after the remarks were initially aired, Fox News put Regan on a hiatus from the network only to ultimately drop her altogether.
