White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany released a statement in response to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her new stimulus bill suggesting Trump would not sign it as-is.

“President @realDonaldTrump has been clear that any future coronavirus aid package must prioritize Americans’ health and the nation’s economic prosperity,” she said in a series of tweets. “House Democrats are once again using this crisis to play politics and push their partisan agenda.”

McEnany went on to describe the bill as “an unserious proposal written to appease her base.”

She added:

Bans sharing information about lower-cost health insurance choices such as association health plans or short-term limited duration plans.

Would allow direct stimulus payments for illegal immigrants by eliminating social security number verification.

Imposes federal mandates on how states must run elections by eliminating ID requirements for in-person voting & more.

Pelosi unveiled her new coronavirus-related stimulus bill with a hefty $3,000,000,000,000 price tag.

As the Daily Wire reports, the bill was written without any input from House Republican members and did not even try to conceal “a massive tax break for the super-rich in predominately blue states and directs taxpayer money to illegal aliens.”

In a statement released with the bill, Pelosi said: “It is imperative that we address the needs of the American people with clarity on how we proceed.”

“That is why today House Democrats are introducing the HEROES Act, named for our heroes, whose provisions are largely based on the four previous bipartisan bills we have passed,” she added. “The HEROES Act focus on three pillars, opening our economy safely and soon, honoring our heroes, and then putting much-needed money into the pockets of the American people.”

The Daily Wire also reports Pelosi’s bill would specifically aid “Democrat strongholds” and give $1,200 to illegal immigrants.

McEnany hosted a presser on Tuesday afternoon where she shared that the Trump administration is continuing to work hard to help Americas amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
