Joe Biden refused to answer a question as to whether or not he was taking drugs to boost his campaign performances, an accusation made by President Trump.
Trump, who has repeatedly called Biden “mentally shot,” has alleged he is “taking something” to help his acuity and attentiveness.
As the Independent Journal Review reports, the Trump campaign routinely highlights Biden’s campaign blunders and claims his mental facilities are fleeting.
The former vice president, in contrast, claims he is sharper than Trump and said he intends to showcase his mental fortitude at the first presidential debate in two weeks.
When asked about the allegation, Biden answered: “I’m looking forward to the debate and he’s a fool. The comments are just foolish.”
“Get ready, Mr. President, here I come,” Biden added, via the Independent Journal Review.
He doesn’t deny it.

Trump has also encouraged Biden to take cognitive and drug tests ahead of their presidential election, the Independent Journal Review reports.

During a phone call to “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday, co-host Steve Doocy asked Trump, “Do you think he’s taking some sort of drugs to pep him up?” as IJR previously reported.
Trump replied, “I do, he’s taking something. He’s taking something, you know that gives him some clarity.”
Doocy joked, “Maybe it’s a cup of coffee?”
Trump added, “Yeah, maybe he had a lot of coffee. Maybe he had 15 cups of coffee.”
In August, the president revealed he is going to call for drug tests for both himself and Biden, as IJR previously reported.
Trump has been critical of Biden’s cognitive abilities in the past.
