Joe Biden claims he will absolutely win in the upcoming presidential election so long as there is no “chicanery.”
The Daily Caller reports the vice president maintains a comfortable lead in the polls over President Trump but his confidence that he will win the election has caused some people to speculate he would not accept a losing result.
“Make sure to vote because the only way we lose this is by the chicanery going on relative to polling places,” Biden said to a group of his supporters in Erie, Pennsylvania on Saturday.

The former vice president’s comments were immediately met with backlash over their ambiguity.
“I understand one of the comments I made was taken a little out of context. I’m going to accept the outcome of this election period,” Biden clarified later that evening. “I was referencing the attempts that are made to try and influence and scare people from voting.”
The Hill adds:
The former vice president has frequently expressed concerns about the possibility of President Trump “stealing” the election, referencing his repeated attacks on the legitimacy of mail-in voting and his refusal to commit to acknowledging the election results.
This refusal has accompanied the likelihood that lower in-person turnout will lead to a count of Election Day ballots that does not reflect the final outcome. This has led to widespread anxiety about the possibility of a chaotic election process.
President Trump has repeatedly vocalized his own distrust in the upcoming election as he claims Democratic districts will resort to voter fraud to ensure he loses.
