Report: Obama Is Quietly Helping Biden Become The Nominee

The Democrat Party is struggling to choose between far-Left socialist Bernie Sanders or his more moderate alternatives (Joe Biden, Michael Bloomberg, Elizabeth Warren or Tulsi Gabbard), and former President Obama is sitting this one out—at least publicly.

Obama has yet to endorse any of the Democratic presidential candidates but is reportedly very active behind the scenes to get his former running mate the nomination.

CNN reports “a person close to Obama” told them that he “has no immediate plans to offer an endorsement of Biden — or anyone — as the nominating contest heads into Super Tuesday.”

“We are skeptical that an endorsement coming from us could truly change the political winds right now,” the unidentified individual reportedly said to the outlet.

“He feels that he’s singularly positioned to help unify the party at the end of this,” the person said. “And if he were to try to put his thumb on the scale now, it would take away his ability to do so when it’s most needed — the general election.”

“So he’s prepared to play a vigorous role in coalescing the party around the nominee and working to defeat Trump, but weighing in now likely only divides things worse and weakens his standing for when the Party will need it most,” the person added.

But this politically correct approach may just be a front as liberal pundit Shaun King, who calls himself a Bernie Sanders “surrogate” in his Twitter bio, said Obama is working behind the scenes to help Biden become the eventual nominee.

NBC News reports “people close to Obama said the former president has been keeping close tabs on the race,” but said he is not intending to make an endorsement anytime soon. The report also notes that Obama called Biden to congratulate him on his South Carolina victory.

Should Obama be looking to interfere with the primary process, it would only add further evidence to claims President Trump has repeatedly made about it being rigged to favor Biden over Sanders.

  1. I’m impressed, I must say. Truly rarely do I encounter a weblog that’s both educative and entertaining, and without a doubt, you might have hit the nail about the head. Your concept is outstanding; the problem is something which too few people are speaking intelligently about. We are happy which i found this around my look for something regarding this.
