#SchumerResign Trends Online After He Threatens Supreme Court Judges Gorsuch & Kavanaugh

Standing outside the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court, Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer pointed his finger towards the building and said conservative Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh were going to “pay the price.”

BizPac Review reports Schumer made the comment “as the high court heard June Medical Services v. Russo, a Louisiana case on restricting abortion.”

“Schumer addressed the crowd in a speech, warning the Justices against taking away ‘fundamental rights’ on abortion,” the report added.

Schumer said the two would “would not know what hit” them, should they vote against his wishes in the case.

“I want to tell you Gorsuch, and I want to tell you Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price! You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” he said.

Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts issued a stern rebuke of the comments, calling them “inappropriate” and “dangerous.”

“Justices know that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, but they are also dangerous,” Roberts said in a released statement, BizPac Review reports.

The Democrat’s comments stirred a huge reaction online as several members of Congress and mainstream media united to rebuke them.

“Schumer threatened conservative justices, Kavanaugh & Gorsuch, on the steps of the Supreme Court,” House Republican Steve Scalise said in a tweet.

“This rhetoric has dangerous consequences. Where’s the media outrage?” he asked.

“Outrageous,” responded Republican Senator Kevin Cramer. “I stand with Chief Justice Roberts in condemning these [email protected] should quit pandering to the far left, abandon the dangerous and over-the-top rhetoric, and apologize.”
