#MeToo Leader Called Reade Accusation ‘Clearly A Smear Campaign,’ Now Tries To Back Her

Actress Alyssa Milano was a leader in the #MeToo movement when allegations of sexual assault were brought against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, a Republican, but now that the allegations are against presumed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden she’s applying a much different standard.

Where’s the “believe all survivors” activist that sat through some of Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings?

Where’s the woman who called for Kavanaugh to face an FBI investigation and why isn’t she applying the same standard for Biden?

Milano started the month sticking by the man she endorsed to win the presidency.

“I am still endorsing Joe Biden,” she said in a tweet and an accompanying video on April 6, well after details of Biden accuser Tara Reade’s claim surfaced.

She then went on to call Tara Reade’s corroborated allegation “clearly a smear campaign.”

But, then she turned it all around in a tweet on Tuesday, just after 1 a.m.

“I’m aware of the new developments in Tara Reade’s accusation against Joe Biden. I want Tara, like every other survivor, to have the space to be heard and seen without being used as fodder,” Milano tweeted.

“I hear and see you, Tara. #MeToo” she added.

Twitchy reports the tweet was a bit “too little, too late” for some people online:
