Former Vice President Joe Biden is staring down accusations of sexual misconduct or assault from eight different women as he attempts to capture the Democratic nomination.
While the once crowded Democratic field has narrowed to just one candidate, the all-but-assured nomination could still be out of reach amid the wave of allegations.
As the Daily Wire reports, the most recent allegation has been brought forth by Alexandra Tara Reade, who served as a staffer in Biden’s Senate office in 1993.
Last month, Reade came forward with an allegation that Biden assaulted her in a back hall of the Capitol after she was requested by the senior staff to fetch him a gym bag.
“I handed [Biden] the [gym bag]. He greeted me. He remembered my name. And then we were alone,” Reade said during an interview last month. “It was the strangest thing. There was no like exchange really. He just had me up against the wall. I was wearing like a skirt, a business skirt. I wasn’t wearing stockings. It was kind of a hot day that day, and I was wearing heels…I remember I was wearing a blouse, and he just had me up against the wall. And the wall was cold. It happened all at once. His hands were on me and underneath my clothes… he was kissing me at the same time, and he was saying something to me. He said several things. I can’t remember everything he said.”
“It seemed surreal,” she continued, via the Daily Wire. “I felt sick because when he pulled back he looked annoyed, and he said something else to me that I don’t want to say. And then he said, I must have looked shocked. He grabbed me by the shoulders… and he said, ‘You’re OK, you’re fine.’ And then he walked away.”
Shortly after the 1993 incident, Reade told some of her family members and a neighbor. Some of which have since come forth to corroborate her claim.
From @peterjhasson: 5 different people have corroborated details of Tara Reade's sexual assault allegations against Biden:
1. Reade's mother
2. Reade's brother
3. Reade's former neighbor
4. Reade's close friend
5. Reade's former coworkerhttps://t.co/zOTLMRBrva

Reade’s mother also called into “Larry King Live” in 1993 asking for advice on how her daughter should respond to the incident. A video of that conversation has surfaced from CNN archives.
As the Daily Wire reports: “Reade’s former neighbor Lynda LaCasse, a Biden supporter, tells Insider that Reade told her about the alleged assault in detail in 1995 or 1996.”
“This happened, and I know it did because I remember talking about it,” the neighbor told Business Insider.
At least seven other women have publically accused Biden of sexual misconduct, including Lucy Flores, Amy Lappos, D.J. Hill, Caitlyn Caruso, Ally Coll, Sofie Karasek, and Vail Kohnert-Yount.
Mainstream media, a staunch ally of the Democrat Party, has mostly buried these names and their allegations especially as Biden is all but sure to win his party’s nomination.
The Cut reports Flores, a former Nevada lieutenant governor nominee, came forward with an allegation last year that Biden “smelled her hair and gave her ‘a big slow kiss’ on the back of her head at an event for her 2014 campaign. In that moment, she wrote, she felt ’embarrassed’ and ‘shocked.’”
The Cut also reports Lappos has alleged Biden inappropriately touched her, rubbing his nose against hers during a political fund-raiser.
“It wasn’t sexual, but he did grab me by the head,” Lappos claimed. “He put his hand around my neck and pulled me in to rub noses with me. When he was pulling me in, I thought he was going to kiss me on the mouth.”
“He was the vice president,” she said of her reason not to file a complaint. “I was a nobody.”
The Cut reports Hill similarly alleged Biden got handsy with her during a fundraising event: “At a 2012 at a fundraising event in Minneapolis, Hill alleges that Biden rested his hand on her shoulder, and then started to move it down her back, which left her feeling ‘very uncomfortable.’”
“Only he knows his intent,” Hill said about the action. “If something makes you feel uncomfortable, you have to feel able to say it.”
