Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has some explaining to do after he reportedly copied word-for-word a policy proposal from former opponent Bernie Sanders.
While Sanders has endorsed Biden and could have handed over the material, Biden has a history of plagiarism.
In 1988, Biden was forced to drop from his presidential run due to a controversy involving plagiarism.
Looks like Joe Biden is back to plagiarizing again. I guess old habits die hard. Good thread. https://t.co/FNkf5KdaF0

The alleged plagiarism was noticed by Republican Rapid Response Director Steve Guest who tweeted a series of side-by-side comparisons between Biden and Bernie’s plans.
“Today, Joe Biden’s unity task force released recommendations for the DNC platform that crib straight from Bernie Sanders’ radical agenda,” Guest tweeted. “We found multiple instances of word-for-word copying from Bernie.”
“Biden’s Criminal Justice Unity Taskforce copied Bernie,” he theorized.

And, Biden did not just allegedly copy Bernie’s criminal justice plans, but his proposals for setting a new minimum wage, workers’ rights, his disability rights initiatives, and his reforms to the Social Security system.

Bottom Line: Joe Biden has years of experience copying from others, now his task force is straight up copying from Bernie’s 2020 campaign proposals.
