Trump Shreds Biden’s Stamina, Says He’d Cry And Runaway From Tough Interview

President Trump said during an interview with Fox News host and frequent Trump critic Chris Wallace that he does not believe presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden could handle a hardball interview.

As the Independent Journal Review reports, Trump accused Biden of having cognitive decline and said he would be “crying” for his mother if he was ever challenged by the media. The president has previously and repeatedly contended the media was a Biden-ally, helping his chances in November.

“Let Biden sit through an interview like this. He’ll be on the ground crying for mommy. He’ll say, ‘Mommy, mommy, please take me home,’” Trump said during the “Fox News Sunday” interview.

Trump also contrasted the actions of himself and Biden during the global pandemic, suggesting he has shown a more presidential approach rather than just hiding in a basement.

“Let him come out of his basement, go around, I’ll make four or five speeches a day, I’ll be interviewed by you, I’ll be interviewed by the worst killers that hate my guts. They hate my guts. There’s nothing they can ask me that I won’t give them a proper answer to. Some people will like it. Some people won’t like it,” he said.

IJR reports Trump said he believes he will win in November because Biden is “mentally shot.”

“The country, in the end, they’re not going to have a man who … who’s shot. He’s shot, he’s mentally shot,” he claimed.

IJR adds:

In March, Biden did do an interview with Wallace — for the first time since 2007 — where he answered a series of questions about gaffes he had made during his primary campaign, as IJR reported.

When asked about Trump’s attacks on him during the March interview, Biden responded, “Is that the stable genius saying that? Oh, give me a break. God love him. I’m going to resist saying what I feel like saying.”

“I’m not going to try to assign names and insults to the stable genius,” he added.

However, at the conclusion of the interview, Biden said, “Alright, Chuck, thank you very much.”

When Wallace interjected to correct him, Biden blamed the mistake on doing an interview with NBC’s Chuck Todd earlier in the day.
