President Trump called Black Lives Matter a Marxist group during an interview Wednesday with Fox News.
The president has been repeatedly critical of the group and ongoing race riots, especially those that are causing millions of dollars in damage in major cities.
“Black Lives Matter, when did it start? Marching down the street screaming ‘pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon.’ They were talking about policemen and women,” Trump told “Fox & Friends.”
“All of sudden, this is taking on this air of great respectability. Well, how does it start there? It’s a Marxist group,” the president continued. “It’s a Marxist group that is not looking for good things for our country and now I see these leagues all kneeling down.”

Breitbart News reported in June that Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors admitted to being Marxist and for wanting to push Marxist ideology:
In a newly resurfaced video from 2015, Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors reveals that she and her fellow BLM founders are “trained Marxists.”
In the video, Cullors is interviewed by Jared Ball of the Real News Network and discusses the direction of the BLM movement.
“The first thing, I think, is that we actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia in particular are trained organizers,” she said. “We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories. And I think that what we really tried to do is build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folk.”

In previous interviews in 2018, while promoting her then-new book titled, “When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir,” Cullors describes her introduction to and affinity for Marxist ideology.
During the interview, Trump also commented on sporting events and how players continue to kneel during the National Anthem.
“When I see people kneeling during the playing and disrespecting our flag and disrespecting our national anthem, what I do personally is turn off the game and the ratings for basketball are way down,” he said via Fox News.
Trump continued: “I hear some others are way down too, including baseball. All of a sudden now baseball is in the act. We have to stand up for our flag, we have to stand up for our country, we have to stand up for our anthem and a lot of people agree with me. Hey, if I am wrong, then I am going to lose an election and that’s OK with me. I am always going to stand for our country and flag.”
Fox News reports the president’s comments came after a lawmaker from Oklahoma threatened Oklahoma City Thunder players with legal recourse if players continue to kneel during the National Anthem.
Republican State Representative Sean Roberts said players could face tax penalties as claims they are “showing disrespect for the American flag and all it stands for.
“This anti-patriotic act makes clear the NBA’s support of the Black Lives Matter group and its goal of defunding our nation’s police, its ties to Marxism and its efforts to destroy nuclear families,” Roberts said.
