The Republican Party hauled in a whopping $55 million in the month of July, its best fundraising figure for the month during any presidential election.
The impressive showing continued its “record-breaking fundraising,” Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel said a pair of tweets.
“The $55.3 million haul brings the committee’s total cash on hand to $109.9 million, the most in party history. July also marked the RNC’s best-ever month of online fundraising, and a two-fold increase in the party’s online fundraising from 2016,” the Hill reports.
This figure, combined with efforts from the Trump campaign and affiliated groups, totaled $169.3 million raised for the month of July. The combined effort towered past the fundraising effort of the Democratic National Committee and Biden campaign by nearly $30 million.
“Grassroots support for @realDonaldTrump continues to grow as he leads our nation through a pandemic, upholds law and order, fights for the integrity of our elections, and ushers in the Great American Comeback!” McDaniel said in a tweet.
“This record-breaking fundraising is fueling our unprecedented data-driven ground game operation – one the Democrats simply cannot compete with, and one that will deliver victories up and down the ballot on Nov. 3!” she added.

According to the Hill, the RNC and Trump have already raised more than $1.1 billion—another record—and have $300 million available to spend.
