Biden: ‘We Are On Track To Win This Election’

Democratic challenger Joe Biden encouraged his supporters in an overnight speech where he pointed to optimistic vote projections.

At the time of Biden’s comments just after midnight, about half a dozen states were still undecided including Nevada, which was leaning towards Biden, and North Carolina, which was leaning towards President Trump.

Other more pivotal states that were labeled too close to call included Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Fox News reports Biden admitted that “it will take a while,” but he said he was “feeling real good about Wisconsin and Michigan,” and that “we’re going to win Pennsylvania” as well.

“We knew this was going to go long,” Biden continued. “We feel good about where we are. We really do.”

He continued: “It ain’t over until every vote is counted until every ballot is counted.”

“I’m here to tell you tonight we believe we’re on track to win this election,” Biden said. “I’m optimistic about this outcome. Keep the faith, guys. We’re going to win this.”

“We believe we are on track to win this election,” Biden echoed in a tweet.

“Keep the faith, guys. We’re gonna win this,” he added.

Fox News reports:

Early Wednesday morning, Biden was leading in Wisconsin and gaining ground in Michigan. President Trump was up by more than 12 percentage points in Pennsylvania, but that was with a large number of mail-in ballots still uncounted.

Fellow Democrats including Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., also said Biden would win Pennsylvania.

“When all the votes are counted Vice President Joe Biden is going to win Pennsylvania and be well on his way to necessary electoral votes to win the Presidency,” Casey tweeted. “It’s going to take time and we all need to exercise patience.”

President Trump looked at the election night results differently, saying early Wednesday morning that the results were going in his favor.
