Coronavirus In Europe — Prostitutes Can Go Back To Work, Bars Remain Closed

The Austrian government has become more lenient regarding coronavirus restrictions in several professions including prostitution, however, pubs and bars remain closed.

Prostitutes were categorized with hairdressers, masseurs, and beauticians.

Only home visits will be allowed.

Clients are required to have a negative coronavirus test result or wear an FFP2 (P95) mask.

Brothels, strip clubs, bars, and restaurants will stay closed under the lockdown restrictions.

Dominatrix and prostitution activist Shiva Prugger said, “If a customer is currently ordering a sex worker to their home, they don’t need a corona test, because the service takes place in their private premises.”

Street prostitutes are dealing with issues in Vienna.

Prostitutes are only legally allowed to be open for business in certain areas after 8 pm.

This directly conflicts with the current government curfew from 8 pm until 6 am, which took effect on February 8th.
