Utah Republican Senator Mitt Romney fell, knocking himself unconscious, blackening his eye, and he needed “a lot of stitches,” according to The BPR.
“I took a fall. Knocked me unconscious. But I’m doing better,” Romney said.
“Let’s see, what can I say? Yeah, I had kind of a tough, tough weekend. I went to CPAC – that was a problem,” Romney joked. “I took a fall.”
“A lot of stitches. I don’t know how many. I asked the doctor how many stitches and she said, I don’t know, but it’s all through my eyebrow and my lip,” Romney said.

“The Democrats don’t have grandstanders like Mitt Romney, little Ben Sasse, Richard Burr, Bill Cassidy, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Pat Toomey — and in the House, Tom Rice, South Carolina, Adam Kinzinger, Dan Newhouse, Anthony Gonzalez, that’s another beauty, Fred Upton, Jaime Herrera Beutler, Peter Meijer, John Katko, David Valadao, and of course, the warmonger, a person that loves seeing our troops fighting, Liz Cheney. How about that?” Trump stated.
From The BPR:
Romney has been a very vocal critic of former President Donald Trump and supported the attempts to impeach him. He was one of seven Republicans to support the second attempt to impeach the former president. He is not popular among conservatives in the Republican Party for his liberal stances and for his attacks on Trump.
The failed presidential contender did not attend the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida over the weekend. He was not invited this year. Trump was the headliner at the event and singled the Utah senator out for his stance against him.
