A Boeing 737 Went Down Off THe Coast of Hawaii, according to BNO News.
So Far Two People Have Been Rescued courtesy of the Coast Guard.
Allegedly the crew of the cargo plane reported engine trouble.
Officials say that the plane was attempting an emergency landing.
The Boeing 737 didn’t make it to the landing zone and crashed into the ocean.
Officials stated that the crash took place around 1:45 a.m. Friday morning.
“The pilots had reported engine trouble and were attempting to return to Honolulu when they were forced to land the aircraft in the water,” the Federal Aviation Administration stated.
The two people that were rescued by The Coast Guard are reported to have been crew members of the vessel.
The crew members’ conditions are not known at this time.
One of them was taken by helicopter to Queen’s Medical Center.
The other crew member was taken ashore on a rescue boat.

The aircraft was believed to be operating a flight for Transair, which provides interisland cargo services within the state of Hawaii. It had taken off from Honolulu International Airport for a flight to Kahului Airport on the nearby island of Maui.
The U.S. Coast Guard responded with multiple resources, including a boat, helicopter, and a C-130 plane.
The cause of Friday’s crash was not immediately known. Both the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched an investigation.
