Disney World character Liver Lips McGrowl from the “Country Bear Jamboree” has been renamed after 50 years due to concerns that the original name was insensitive and outdated, potentially offending individuals struggling with alcoholism.
The character will now be known as Romeo McGrowl, maintaining a similar appearance but with a new name.
This change reflects Disney’s broader initiative to address culturally insensitive elements in its attractions, aligning with a commitment to updating and rectifying outdated aspects within the park.
