This shift follows significant events, including Trump’s survival of an assassination attempt and his nomination of J.D. Vance as his running mate at the Republican National Convention, alongside the Democrats replacing President Biden with Harris on their ticket.
The poll indicates that Trump maintains strong support among men, white evangelical Christians, and rural voters, while Harris performs well with Black voters, women, and younger demographics.
While both candidates hold 45% of the vote in a broader field, independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has seen his support fall to 6%.
