MSNBC President Rashida Jones is reportedly thinking about leaving the network following Donald Trump’s second inauguration, as the network has experienced a notable drop in ratings since the election and faces uncertainty regarding its future with parent company Comcast, which is exploring a potential sale.

“It’s amazing how people want to spend more time with their families or look for new challenges when the ratings crash,” one television executive said sarcastically.

Reports suggest she could resign as early as January, though a decision has yet to be finalized.

“Of course she’s making the decision,” the executive said. “They’re all leaving on their own, Norah O’Donnell, Chris Wallace.”

MSNBC has seen a 47% drop in total viewership since Election Day, particularly struggling with the key demographic of adults aged 25 to 54.
