Federal prosecutors made a massive confession in court by confirming that Hunter Biden is still under federal investigation. This confession instantly derailed Hunter’s “sweetheart” plea deal to avoid prison time.

President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) has been widely condemned for corruption by offering an allegedly politically motivated deal to Hunter.

The crimes allegedly committed by Hunter, specifically the gun felony charge, carry a sentence up to 10 years in prison. While Hunter receives special treatment, other Americans are regularly dragged through the mud by facing the full consequence of their actions.

The DOJ admits that there is no precedent for what’s unfolding in federal court.

Judge Maryellen Noreika ultimately refused to accept the plea deal, which involved two documents.

First, Hunter intends to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges related to 2017 and 2018, but will avoid prosecution for earlier years.

Second, Hunter intends to receive a “diversion agreement,” which allows the son of President Biden to avoid jail time for a felony gun charge. Instead, Hunter will likely be placed on probation.

The average prison sentence for a felony gun charge is about 5 years. The minimum sentence is 16 months and the maximum sentence is 10 years.

“Special Assistant US Attorney Leo Wise and Hunter’s lawyer Christopher Clark both signed a probation-only agreement to allow the 53-year-old first son to plead guilty to two tax misdemeanors and enter a diversion program for a felony charge of possessing a firearm while addicted to crack cocaine,” the report found.

In court, Judge Maryellen Noreika said, “Some provisions in those agreements that are not standard and are different from what I normally see.”

She continued, “So have you ever seen — I think I just asked you this, but have you ever seen a Diversion Agreement where the agreement not to prosecute is so broad that it encompasses crimes in a different case?”

Special Assistant US Attorney Leo Wise responded, “No. And I would say, Your Honor, I don’t think it is broad in the sense that —”

“We’re going to talk about that. You can sit down,” the judge interjected.

Wise agreed that there is an “ongoing” investigation into Hunter Biden.

Wise answered “yes” when the judge asked whether the government could bring a charge under the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

“Under FARA, Hunter Biden could have been required to register as a foreign agent for his business dealings in Ukraine and China,” the report found.
