Florida Sheriff T.K. Waters of Jacksonville didn’t mince words when explaining why crimes occur.
A suspect in his 20s allegedly opened fire in a Jacksonville Dollar General store and killed three people. Waters says evil people are the problem — not guns.

“The story’s always about guns,” Waters said about Democrats and the mainstream media’s response to mass shootings.
“People are bad; this guy’s a bad guy. [But] if I take my gun off right now and lay it on this counter, nothing will happen,” he continued.
“It’ll sit there — but as soon as wicked person grabs ahold of that handgun and starts shooting people with it — there’s the problem.”
Despite the Democrats’ push to ban “assault weapons,” studies show that the 1994 ban was ineffective.
In 1999, the Department of Justice published a study showing the gun ban “failed to reduce the average number of victims per gun murder incident or multiple gunshot wound victims.”
In 2004, another DOJ study admitted that the gun ban’s “effects on gun violence are likely to be small at best and perhaps too small for reliable measurement.”
As a result, the ban was lifted in 2004 and AR ownership surged from 850,000 then to 25 million today.
The vast majority of gun owners are law-abiding Americans who are exercising their God-given right to protect themselves, their families, and their property.
Despite the proven ineffectiveness of gun bans, Democrats continue to claim gun bans will reduce gun violence. Left-wing activists fail to understand that criminals, by definition, do not follow laws.
