The US immigration system has been fundamentally broken under Joe Biden as the country experiences a historic and unprecedented crisis.

In 2022 alone, the US encountered the highest number ever recorded of illegal immigrants at the US southern border. This represents a 200% increase from former President Donald Trump’s last year in office in 2020.

General Michael Flynn, who has personally witnessed the problem, describes the situation under Biden as a “mass invasion” that is “out of control.” (Poll: Is Joe Biden Fit to be President? VOTE)

Despite this ongoing crisis, the Biden administration appears to be doing everything it can to exacerbate the problem.

In full denial, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claims, “The president has done more to secure the border and to deal with the issue of immigration than anybody else. He really has.”

Under Trump, Americans saw the lowest rate of illegal immigration in over 40 years.

Under Biden, we have seen the highest rate of illegal immigration over 60 years.

Biden notoriously ended Trump’s “remain in Mexico” policy, which forced foreign nationals seeking to enter the U.S. through the southern border — illegally or without proper documentation — to be returned to Mexico.

These individuals needed to wait in Mexico while their legal cases are adjudicated. This border security program under Trump and kept migrants in Mexico as they awaited their hearings. (Poll: Who Should Win the Presidency In 2024? VOTE)

Biden, on the other hand, opened the floodgates and created a disaster by removing this policy. This signaled that everyone can come through the border even if it’s illegally and without proper documentation. Biden and the Democrats have falsely claimed President Trump was “racist” and “xenophobic” for his “remain in Mexico” policy.

What exactly can be done if the federal government refuses to enforce the law? The problem is ultimately left to the states, some of which are successfully bussing illegal immigrants to liberal Democratic havens like New York City.

The strategy appears to be working. New York City Mayor Eric Adams sounded a dire warning about the future of his city as it grapples with an influx of over 110,000 migrants under the Biden administration.

“Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to,” he said.

“I don’t see an ending to this. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City,” he continued. (Poll: Is America Better Off Under Biden? VOTE)

“Destroy New York City,” Adams stated emphatically. “We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month.”

He went on to highlight the fiscal challenges the city is facing, saying, “We had a $12 billion deficit that we’re going to have to cut. Every service in this city is going to be impacted. All of us.”

Adams underscored that the impact would extend to neighborhoods, adding, “It’s going to come to your neighborhoods. All of us are going to be impacted by this.”

“I said it last year when we had 15,000. I’m telling you now with 110,000. The city we knew we’re about to lose. And we’re all in this together.”

Adams attributed part of the problem to Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s operation of busing migrants from the border to self-declared sanctuary jurisdictions. However, he also noted that the federal government is relocating migrants from the border to various parts of the U.S.

Adams directly pointed fingers at Governor Abbott, stating, “What happened? It started with a madman down in Texas, decided he wanted to bus people up to New York City,” referencing the more than 13,300 migrants sent to New York City from Texas since August 2022.

Texas Governor Abbott defended his initiative known as Operation Lone Star, which he said was aimed at filling the “dangerous gaps created by the Biden administration’s refusal to secure the border.” Abbott argued that the busing initiative helps alleviate the burden on border communities overwhelmed by the mass influx of border-crossers.
