Bell believes his more pragmatic approach resonates with voters seeking steady leadership.
“This poll validates what we’ve known for a while. We have the momentum in this race because voters in the first district want a representative who is a bridge builder,” Bell said.
“Voters want someone who offers steady, grounded leadership in these very difficult times.”
He leads Bush in fundraising and polling.
Bush advocates for a ceasefire and conditional aid to Israel, while Bell has the endorsement of a pro-Israel PAC that contrasts his position with Bush representing an “extremist, anti-Israel fringe.”
“We proudly endorse Wesley Bell, who is a strong advocate for the U.S.-Israel relationship,” American Israeli Political Action Committee spokesperson Marshall Wittmann said, “in clear contrast to his opponent, who represents the extremist, anti-Israel fringe.”
Bush’s challenger appears to be gaining strength by presenting a more centrist alternative on foreign policy issues.
