In an interview with Dr. Jordan Peterson, Elon Musk expressed his belief that he was “tricked” into allowing his child, Xavier, to receive puberty blockers, which he described as “sterilization drugs.”
Musk claimed that he was misled into thinking Xavier might commit suicide without the treatment, calling the situation a result of what he termed “the woke mind virus,” which he feels has figuratively “killed” his son.
He criticized the term “gender-affirming care” as a misleading euphemism and stated that he has vowed to combat this ideology.
“It happened to one of my older boys, where I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys, Xavier. This is before I had any understanding of what was going on. COVID was going on, so there was a lot of confusion and I was told Xavier might commit suicide if he doesn’t…” Musk said.
“That was a lie right from the outset,” Peterson cut in.
“Incredibly evil, and I agree with you that the people that have been promoting this should go to prison,” Musk said.
“I lost my son, essentially. They call it deadnaming for a reason,” Musk said. “The reason it’s called deadnaming is because your son is dead. My son Xavier is dead, killed by the woke mind virus.”
Musk added, “I vowed to destroy the woke mind virus after that.”
Musk’s comments followed his child’s transition to Vivian Jenna Wilson and the child’s desire to sever ties with him.
“I no longer want to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form,” now Vivian Musk said.
Additionally, Musk announced the relocation of SpaceX’s headquarters to Texas, citing California’s laws regarding parental notification about children’s gender identity as a catalyst for this decision.
“This is the final straw,” Musk wrote on X. “Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas.”
